How To: Jailbreak iOS 6 Beta 1 Using RedSn0w

The iPhone Dev Team released RedSn0w 0.9.13dev1 earlier today for developers to jailbreak iOS 6 beta 1. Since this jailbreak is specifically for developers, the process of jailbreaking is slightly different than usual.

 If you have an iPhone 4, 3GS, or a 4th generation iPod Touch running iOS 6 beta 1, head inside for the full step-by-step guide on how to jailbreak:

Note        lease remember that this is tethered jailbreak specifically for developers only. It will not install Cydia on your idevice, nor will it hacktivate it. It’s also only supported on the iPhone 4, 3GS and 4th gen iPod Touch.

Step 1        ownload and run RedSn0w 0.9.13dev1 (Download Mac • Download Windows).

Step 2: Click Extras > Select IPSW and find the iOS 6 firmware for your idevice.

Step 3: After selecting the iOS 6 firmware, click back and click Jailbreak. Follow the steps by putting your device into DFU mode. RedSn0w will ask you to install SSH, in which you will make sure it is selected. Click next and the jailbreak will run until completion.

Step 4: Once on the Home Screen, go back to RedSn0w and click Extras > Just boot. This will do a tethered boot.

Step 5: Congrats! Your idevice is now jailbroken! You can now SSH into your device or install apps manually. Remember, this is only for developers or advanced users.
