This guide provides you step by step manual software update of new Prismcube and how to customize your box.

A. Software update:

1. Download last software

2. After unpack downloaded .zip file to your PC you will see folder update_ruby. Copy it to root folder of supported USB stick.

Actual tested and supported USB sticks:
- Kingston DTSE9 8GB
- Sandisk Cruzer blade 8GB
- Kingston DTGE9 16GB
- Corsair Voyager Mini 8gb
- Corsair Survivor 8gb
- Patriot Xporter XT Boost 8GB
- Kingston DTMCK 16GB
- Adata C008 4GB
- Kingston Datatraveler G3 2GB
- Kingston DT101 G2 2GB

3. Take your box. Warning, don´t connect box to electrical network! Connect box via HDMI with TV, than connect LAN cable and satellite signal cable to tuner LNB1 (in case of two satellite signal cables, connect second one to tuner LNB2).

4. Connect USB stick when box is turned off and connect it to electrical network. On display appears UPDATE , update process started. Don´t turn off box and do nothing with box while updating.

5. Software update is done when REMOVE US appears on display. Remove USB stick from box. It will restart itself to active mode. Software update is done.

B. Basic customisation:

6. When box is in active mode, press MENU and than go to INSTALL -> First Installation

7. First installation wizard will start, you can choose Menu Language and Audio Language. I choose followed value and click on arrow Next.
Menu Language - English
Audio Language - English

8. In next step Video and Audio setup we set up HDMI Format according your TV. I choosed 1080i than click to arrow Next.

9. In next step Video calibration can be set up.
- By using arrows of RCU set up first mark to left above corner most exact. Confirm position by pressing OK button of RCU.
- Set up same way mark of right bottom corner and confirm by pressing OK button.
- By using up/down arrows of RCU set up subtitle position on TV screen, than confirm by OK button.
- Last step is set up of perfectly square a than press BACK button of RCU.

10. Antenna and Satellite Setup, here we set up which satellite signal we have.
Tuner Connection:
Loop-trough - choose when you have only one satellite signal cable connected to LNB1 (in my case)
OneCable - choose when you have signal from UniCable LNB
Separated - choose when you have two signal cables connected to LNB1 and LNB2 as well.
Than click to arrow Next.

11. Tuner 1 Config DiSEqC 1.0 – click to Add Satellite and choose satellites on your satellite dish. In my case ASTRA 23,5 and ASTRA 19,2
Than click to arrow Next.

12. Satellite Configuration – here set up your satellite parameters according your satellite configuration.
Than click to arrow Next.

13. Channel Search Setup – there are three options in Search mode

Automatic Scan – find all channels from satellite
Manual Scan – searching one transponder (frequency).
Supports option network scan (NIT searching) it means on one frequency of some provider box searches all other frequences from this provider.
Fast Scan – searches channels only from predefined provider. Recommended set up for SK and CZ channels.

Than click to arrow Next and you will see menu of Fast Scan.
Choose option Provider and choose your provider.

Than click to arrow Next and searching of chanels started.
Searching result confirm by pressing OK button.
Than click BACK button of RCU and you will see date and time set up.

14. In next step Time and Date Setup adjust correct date and time and confirm by clicking on Apply button on TV screen.
Than click to arrow Next.

15. You will see First installation result, click on arrow Finish. First installation wizard is passed.

C. Installation of Softcam add-on:

16. Download last softcam from link: http://sw.abipbox.com/Softcam/plugin.program.softcam-0.1.23.zip

17. Copy downloaded ZIP file to root of clear USB stick (don´t unpack Zip file!)

18. Connect USB stick to working box. Put smart card to smart card reader of box with gold chip face down.

19. Press XBMC button of RCU and go to: System-> Add-ons -> Install from zip file and press OK.

20. From displayed list choose Removable Device(sda1/sdb1), press OK, choose plugin.program.softcam-0.1.23.zip. (Name of file can be little bit different, it depends of actual version)
Than press left arrow button of RCU and confirm by pressing OK button of RCU.

21. Softcam add-on is installed.

D. Start and configuration of softcam add-on:

22. Press twice BACK button of RCU and you will see main menu of XBMC part. Than go to: Programs -> softcam and confirm OK.

23. Small window appears, than choose Start option, Set Default Configuration or Last know configuration (it depends of version of installed softcam) Confirm by OK button of RCU.

24. Menu of softcam will be displayed: Select menu. Choose Select cardserver and press OK button of RCU.

Than I choose SK/CZ market (it depends on your market) and confirm OK button of RCU.

In last step choose your smart card type inserted to box and confirm OK button of RCU

25. Triple pressing of BACK button switches you to live satellite channels. Choose some scrambled TV channel from your provider. Card will start descrambling and channel will be opened.
