Hello,

I'm trying to load the original firmware through RS232 in my RS4800S Mini but after downloading, I have the message "Download failure!" "SSU file incorrect".
I'm downloading the original firmware found in the RS4800Mini - Firmware topic of foroKeys.

What can be the problem?

The point is that you have to follow the following steps to install the original firm with RS232, otherwise the burning is not correct:

-first you have to load this firm dated 10sep2013

and then loading the original one,

I'm using "Loader Engel RS4800S Mini v1" and I have the same message "SSU Incorrect Format" when I try to load the Firmware found in:

Any idea?

Is there a way to check if my cable is not the cause of the issue?

If there is a communication failure between the docoder and the PC (port COM), an ERROR 1 pops up. So the cable shoudn´t be the issue. If you´ve bought the RS4800 recently, you may have trouble to downgrade it. Try to recover it with the latest firm you used through USB and then install the original one

I've tried to load:
- the firmware already installed (last one found on DVB-UPLOAD Engel page) by USB
It works

- the same already installed firmware by RS-232
It works

- the original firmware (13th September 2013)
"Invalid ssu format"

I've tried with several 'original' RS4800S firmwares I found.
Same result

I clearly don't understand...

As I´ve told you above, there have been some issues with the original firm. Check out the answer #84, download this "original firm" (engelnew-mio.all.rar) and then try to upload it to the RS4800s.
