Hi,
Complete newbie too this, will be setting up a Viark Sat 4K box later today. I just have a few questions as I don’t want to brick my box.
Is it just a case downloading the firmware and updating it via usb?
Is there an option on the menu to update it from the usb, and will any usb drive do or are there specific sizes and brands?
Finally, do I need to reset it to factory settings first or can I just go ahead and update the firmware?

Completo novato también, estará configurando una caja Viark Sat 4K más tarde hoy. Solo tengo algunas preguntas porque no quiero tapar mi caja.
¿Es solo un caso para descargar el firmware y actualizarlo a través de usb?
¿Hay una opción en el menú para actualizarlo desde el usb? ¿Funcionará alguna unidad usb o hay tamaños y marcas específicos?
Finalmente, ¿necesito restablecerlo a la configuración de fábrica primero o puedo simplemente continuar y actualizar el firmware?

Hola.
1° si solo descargar firm y actualizar
2° si menu netgames actualizar por usb
3° funciona cualquier marca pero tiene que estar formateado a fat 32 y solo el archivo dentro
4°  es aconsejable restaurar de fábrica
5° una vez hecho todos esos pasos tienes que instalar por usb una lista de canales y ya está listo el deco para ver los canales

I have not used my box yet, today will be the first time I set it up

¿Debo factorizar restaurar / restablecer mi caja primero y luego actualizar el firmware?
Todavía no he usado mi caja, hoy será la primera vez que la configuro

no,,,al ser nuevo no creo que necesites restaurar de fabrica

Puede que el servidor no abra ese canal en concreto...parece que está todo bien

Apagué la alimentación durante unos minutos y ahora funciona bien
